Middle of last month I went on a mini-safari to Kenya. Seriously. How wonderful is that? It's not exactly migration season yet though, so I wasn't sure what to expect, but, as I told a friend before I left ... as long as I see a zebra, I'll be happy.
Well, guess what the first thing that we saw -- as we disembarked onto the 'airstrip' at Masai Mara -- was?
Here are some real-life zebra crossings :)
So my first post (yes, more coming up!) of the trip is of the zebras in their gorgeous black and white striped costumes. Seriously folks, if you ever get the chance to go on a safari, please do so. I've watched tons of nature documentaries in my life but absolutely nothing comes close to actually being there and having wild animals stroll by the jeep, close enough to touch. Which, of course, we're absolutely not allowed to even consider doing and quite rightly so.
More zebra pics. I love them.
I won't bore you with more zebra photos, though I could have gone on for days watching them. Instead, I'll give you a little teaser of what my next post will be about ... :)
And I'll say it again, if you ever get the chance to go on a safari, don't hesitate! (I actually did but a friend convinced me that I should put work aside and go for it. Thank you Vanessa!) Pretty much the best holiday I've ever had. Absolutely amazing.
I'll let you know a bit more about where we stayed and what we did on the next few posts, as I go through more of the wildlife photos from our far-too-short four day trip.
Wishing you a day full of wonderful surprises. Cheers.
